Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation invites applications for an Eye Technician within its Eye Services unit serving Tuba City, Sacred Peaks & Echo Cliffs. Responsibilities include assisting with exams, entering data into the EHR, preparing patients, and performing tests while upholding Navajo Nation hiring preferences and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association, if none, obtain within 3 months from date of hire
• Must have six (6) months of experience in an eye or health care setting

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and documentation into the EHR for patients including visual acuity and related tests.
• Provide Navajo and English interpretation for doctors and patients as needed.
• Performs additional eye tests and imaging as required by the eye care provider.
• Maintains patient charts, enters data, and reconciles daily reports and superbill charges.
• Assists with prep, room setup, and instrument handling; ensures PPE and safety protocols.
