Job summary

CorneaGen is seeking an Eye Recovery Technician to join our San Antonio site. The role focuses on procurement of ocular tissue for corneal transplant and supporting tissue processing, with on-the-job training provided.

This hourly, in-person position requires an associate degree or equivalent, teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication. Expected weekend shifts and on-call duties may apply; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required.
• Ability to collaborate with others on a team and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality; ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Surgically procure donated human ocular tissue from all sources following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Drawing blood from donors and recovering medical records from hospitals.
• Accepting on-call responsibilities for ocular tissue recovery as scheduled.
• Performing lab maintenance, quality control, training, and research.
• Maintaining documentation of in-process tissue and updating records; keeping donor information confidential.
