Job summary

Davis Eye Center in Toledo, OH is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to support clinicians with patient histories, testing, and exam setup. You will prepare patients for eye examinations, perform preliminary tests, assist doctors, coordinate scheduling, and maintain a clean, welcoming exam area.

Qualifications

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating features and benefits of preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and doctor-requested tests on patients.
• Assist optometrist/ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow; communicate delays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, inviting environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as determined by the office manager, team lead, or doctors.
