Job summary

Davis Eye Center in Ord, Nebraska is seeking a friendly Technician to support doctors by performing preliminary testing, preparing exam rooms, and handling patient intake. The role emphasizes clear communication, accurate data collection, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

You will assist the optometrist, schedule patients, maintain supplies, and help maintain a clean, welcoming office. Starting wage is based on experience, with 6.5 paid holidays, a 401(k), and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
