Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a District Manager, Eye Care Surgical (Xen) to lead a team promoting Xen Gel stent in the refractory glaucoma market. The role covers Atlantic Coast District travel with base near Charlotte, Raleigh, or nearby.

Talent will manage interview processes and develop Account Consultants while ensuring compliance and achievement of district goals. You will drive field execution, cultivate key physician relationships, and implement marketing plans in alignment with franchise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of healthcare, buy-and-bill, or device experience.
• Strong business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to influence across organizations and develop talent.
• Ability to travel 75% with overnight trainings and meetings.

Responsibilities

• District Sales Performance - attain growth and market share goals while managing area operations within expense guidelines.
• People development and coaching - recruit, hire, train, develop, and manage performance of district staff.
• Oversees development and succession planning to maximize results and ensure continuous team development.
• Field execution - lead sales direction, communicate marketing plan, and provide product strategy feedback.
• Key customer management - develop and manage EC relationships; allocate resources with key accounts for growth.
• Lead and motivate others to achieve district goals and promote long-term competitive advantages.
• Support sales and meet/exceed district business goals.
