Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a charismatic OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the first steps of their vision care journey with warmth and accuracy.

This part-time role supports the exam lane, handles patient records, assists with preliminary testing, restocks supplies, answers phones, and helps transition patients from doctor to sales floor while educating them on products and services.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete patient records before preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and inform staff to educate on products and services.
• Support day-to-day operations: restocking, cleaning equipment, answering phones.
• Open/close the store to support business as needed.
