Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Manual dexterity to operate small objects and instruments.
• Attention to detail and ability to organize patient information.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and history taking under supervision.
• Visual acuity and refraction testing with appropriate equipment.
• Advanced diagnostic testing procedures as part of the ophthalmology team.
• Intraocular pressure measurement using multiple methods.
• Surgical support and instrument management in a sterile field.
• Contact lens services: fitting, instruction, inventory, and orders.
• Patient care and education on procedures and post-care steps.
• Equipment maintenance, calibration, and supply management.
• Clinical communication and care coordination using HFHS systems.
• Additional clinical duties as assigned.
