Polychem LLC is seeking an Extrusion Winder Operator to support production under the Shift Supervisor. You will set up and maintain one to four production lines and guide nearby machine operators to ensure specifications are met.

• Set up equipment using product specifications to manufacture product.
• Change screen packs in extruders as needed.
• Monitor temperatures in extruders and ovens and adjust as necessary.
• Observe and maintain conditions of equipment; communicate problems and write work orders when necessary.
• Ensure proper raw materials and additives are used according to product specifications.
• Ensure that all safety guards are in place and working properly.
• Troubleshoot production problems and take corrective action.
• Clean and maintain equipment when applicable.
• Perform minor repairs such as clearing and draining water lines, checking and changing filters, clearing or changing winder arms.
• Provide guidance and aid to machine operators as necessary.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Extrusion Winder Operator works under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Responsible for setup and maintaining one to four production lines. Provides assistance and direction to machine operators. Monitors and records correlation of strapping produced to product specifications. Troubleshoots production problems and communicates problems to Foreman. Performs minor maintenance on entire machine and related equipment. Performs housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.
