The role includes minor maintenance, safety compliance, and guiding operators to maintain output quality. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and a meticulous attention to detail with prior manufacturing exposure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment using product specifications to manufacture product.
• Change screen packs in extruders as needed.
• Monitor temperatures in extruders and ovens and adjust as necessary.
• Observe and maintain equipment conditions, report problems, and write work orders.
• Ensure proper raw materials and additives per product specifications.
• Maintain safety guards and perform minor maintenance as assigned.
• Troubleshoot production problems and take corrective action.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance on equipment.
• Provide guidance to machine operators as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Uses product specifications to set up equipment to manufacture product.

• Makes sure that proper raw materials and additives are being used according to product specifications.
• Ensures that all safety guards are in place and working properly.
• Responsible for troubleshooting production problems and taking corrective action.
• Cleans and maintains equipment when applicable.
• Makes minor repairs as necessary such as clearing and draining water lines, checking and changing filters, clearing or changing winder arms, assisting with other maintenance.
• Providing guidance and aid to machine operators as necessary.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Read, write and possess basic math skills.
• Good Mechanical aptitude and experience
• Prior manufacturing experience a plus
• Meticulous attention to detail.
