Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Supervisor to lead the extrusion team on the assigned shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will oversee training, daily goals, and cross-department coordination to resolve issues and improve performance.

The role requires 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership in extrusion or plastics, with strong safety and quality program knowledge, and solid communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of safety programs and quality systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct extrusion personnel on assigned shift.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Monitor extrusion processes and equipment performance to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Train, coach, and develop team members on work practices, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production goals and performance metrics.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and corrective action processes.
• Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Material Handling, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports

Job description

The Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within the extrusion department to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of products. This position supervises production employees, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Supervise and direct extrusion personnel on assigned shift.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
