Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of plastic extrusion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read a work order and use a tape measure within 1/16".

Responsibilities

• Set up extrusion machinery and downstream tooling.
• Operates extrusion equipment daily with various materials and configurations.
• Document setup and quality paperwork accurately.
• Identify and address problems; train others and document changes; reduce scrap.
• Support safety, health, and environmental compliance.
• Fill in for operators during breaks.
• Inspect and approve parts to meet manufacturing specs.
• Report equipment issues to Maintenance and update setup sheets.
