Job summary

Georgfischer in the United States is seeking a Process Technician to support extrusion lines. You will maintain a neat work area, clean machines, assist higher level techs with online/tooling changes, start up extrusion lines, and keep machines running to meet QA specs.

You will handle paperwork, identify correct parts, manage materials, operate a forklift if licensed, support the quality policy, and perform QC measurements and audit-ready production tickets.

• Operates forklifts with license or in training process (as required).
• Follows safety and equipment procedures while handling extrusion machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean, orderly work area and cleans machines after changes.
• Assists higher level Process Techs with online/tooling changes.
• Assists higher level Process Techs in starting up extrusion lines.
• Keeps machines running at standard and meeting QA specifications.
• Maintains proper paperwork and ensures correct parts are identified for scheduled runs.
• Identifies correct materials and makes material attachments to the extrusion machine.
• Operates forklift in accordance with regulations; license in progress.
• Supports the established Quality Policy and the quality system manual.
• Performs QC measurements including visual inspection for product quality.
• Fills out production tickets with accurate audit information.

Job description

• Maintains a neat, clean, orderly work area, cleaning machines, and work areas after a change/work has been completed.
• Assists higher level Process Techs online/tooling changes.
• Assists higher level Process Techs in starting up extrusion lines.
• Assists higher level Process Techs to keep the machines running at standard and meeting Quality Assurance specifications on finished product.
• Assist in higher level Process Techs in maintaining proper paperwork as required. Ensures that every machine has the correct part(s) identified as scheduled to run in the extrusion line.
• Assist in higher level Process Techs in identifying correct materials and making material attachments to the extrusion machine.
• Ability to operate a forklift in accordance with state and local regulations with an approved forklift license (may be working toward the license with plant H.R./training dept.).
• Supports the established Quality Policy
• Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instructions.
• Perform and document QC measurements including visual inspection to ensure product is within specification.
• Fills out production tickets with the proper information for audit station one. I.e. part number, weight of lift etc.
