Job summary
Kobelco Aluminum Products and Extrusions in Bowling Green, KY is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
Responsibilities include maintaining ISO 9001 and IATF16949 compliance, leading lean manufacturing projects, implementing PPAP/APQP processes, and driving OEE gains while reducing scrap and costs. A Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree and 2+ years in manufacturing are requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field is required.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with heat transfer mechanics and non-ferrous materials preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and IATF16949 quality systems and audits.
- Lead process improvements and cost reduction initiatives to improve yields and efficiency.
- Support launch planning and implementation of new products.
- Develop and implement plans for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and continuous process improvements.
- Provide technical assistance to operators and develop standard operating procedures.
