Job summary

Staff Management | SMX is seeking a Process Control Technician to monitor, control, and adjust automated plant equipment from the central control room to ensure smooth material flow and efficient production.

The role requires an engineering or technical background with 5+ years’ experience in extrusion and process control systems, plus fluency in English. On-site work in Premix, Dallas, NC, with shift options and full-time employment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree (or technical certification) in process technology, industrial automation, engineering, or a related field, or HS Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years' experience working with extruders and automated control systems.
• Proficiency in operating extruders and process control systems.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing concepts.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Working from the central control room, this role oversees equipment settings, material transfers, and production parameters, including extrusion operations and changeovers.
• The Process Control Technician works closely with material handlers and maintenance staff to maintain consistent quality, maximize throughput, and minimize downtime.
