Job summary

Plastic Executive Recruiters is seeking experienced Production Supervisors with a strong extrusion background to lead daily manufacturing operations in Dallas, TX. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Night shift runs 7:00 PM–7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Relocation assistance available; candidates from NY or Wichita Falls TX encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in extrusion manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of extrusion processes and downstream equipment.
• Proven ability to improve team performance and production output.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily extrusion operations to meet production targets, quality, and safety.
• Coach and develop production team across shifts; provide feedback.
• Monitor extrusion processes and troubleshoot material, tooling, or equipment issues.
• Partner with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Implement Lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate production reporting (scrap rates, efficiency, labor).

We are seeking experienced Production Supervisors with a strong background in extrusion to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive performance on the production floor. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily extrusion operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.


• Lead, coach, and develop production team members across shifts; conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.


• Monitor extrusion processes (profiles, tubing, sheet, film, compounding, or pipe) and troubleshoot issues related to materials, tooling, or equipment.


• Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.


• Implement and support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction and process optimization.


• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.


• Maintain accurate production reporting, including scrap rates, efficiency metrics, and labor utilization.

Experience Requirements:

• Extrusion experience - Metals, polymers, wire, etc. Any type of extrusion manufacturing experience.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in an extrusion manufacturing environment.


• Strong knowledge of extrusion processes and downstream equipment.


• Proven leadership ability with a track record of improving team performance and production output.


• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.


• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues in a manufacturing setting.


• Strong communication and organizational skills.
