Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a skilled extrusion technician to set up and operate extrusion equipment, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications. You will collaborate with planning to forecast needs and coordinate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues.

The role requires basic machine shop knowledge, tool handling and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, with a focus on safety and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with machine set-up is highly preferred.
• Basic machine shop knowledge and ability is preferred but not required.
• Ability to utilize inspection equipment to measure products for conformance.
• Working knowledge of hand tools.
• Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the extrusion machine and perform quality checks to verify material meets quality specifications.
• Interface daily with Planning/Scheduling to forecast downstream product needs.
• Communicate with Maintenance and Engineering to address machine performance issues as needed.
