Job summary

HM Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking a reliable Extrusion Operator to support the production of polyolefin film products. You will operate extrusion lines, perform quality checks, maintain production records, and ensure customer specifications are met in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of on-the-job training or manufacturing experience, with a preference for extrusion/film production background.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand safety procedures, work instructions, and operating manuals.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve problems, follow detailed instructions, and make sound decisions in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned film extrusion lines according to SOPs.
• Monitor product quality during shift changes and perform hourly quality checks.
• Test and verify treatment, gauge, and width specifications.
• Enter production and roll information into the plant computer system.
• Ensure products are packaged according to customer specifications.
• Provide material samples to QA laboratory for testing.
• Complete first-piece inspections and required documentation during product changeovers.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of all production paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Promote and follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and quality concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
• Prepare for upcoming production changeovers and order transitions.
• Assist Maintenance and other production team members as needed.
• Support teamwork and collaboration across all plant departments.
• Maximize production efficiency while consistently maintaining quality standards.
