Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking an Extruder Operator A to support the extrusion line. The role involves set-ups, adjustments, and operating thermoplastic extrusion equipment to produce film or tubes while meeting quality standards.

You will participate in QA testing, maintain safe operations, and be ready to transition to Operator A after training. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits and a shift premium.

Qualifications

• Experience in extrusion is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Shift: D Shift - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule

Shift Premium Amount: $2.00

Pay Rate: $22.00

Role Purpose

Perform routine and repetitive duties to assist in set-ups, adjustments, and operations of thermoplastic extruding machinery and related equipment to form film or tubes to meet quality and production requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

• Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
• Follow instructions to monitor scrap recovery control procedure.
• Provide assistance required or move and position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as directed for proper operation.
• Monitor continuing operations for proper flow of raw and scrap material.
• Move completed work as directed and weigh and move to designated storage or other work area. Hook up vacuum pumps to rail cars and monitor operation. Procure materials and resins from receiving areas as required.
• Occasionally perform or assist in minor extruder and/or related recovery equipment, repair, or maintenance duties as instructed.
• Perform QA tasks including gauge thickness, smoothness, visual, opacity, dyne level, and any other required tests.
• Must be able to fill in as an A operator as needed.

• Prior Extrusion experience preferred
• Computer proficiency
• 1 Year of relative manufacturing experience
• Demonstrate good attendance, reliable
• Proven safe work habits
• Proven quality oriented
• Demonstrated good performance in current role
• High school diploma or equivalent

Requirement

Transition to role of Extruder Operator A after completion of training and availability of Operator A opening. Shift will be determined by available opening at time of promotion.
