Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a night-shift operator to join the afternoon shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM at our North Carolina facility. The position requires operating production equipment, troubleshooting, and following SOPs to ensure safety and quality in film production.

The role offers a competitive pay rate and a shift premium. Responsibilities include line start/stop, running conditions, production reporting, and lab testing of film samples.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is desired.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and follow guidelines.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
  • High awareness toward safety.
  • Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
  • College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment to produce finished goods to production specifications.
  • Ability to safely STOP equipment during normal conditions and during an emergency.
  • Sets machine up to SOC using the appropriate conditions.
  • Uses a computer system to set run conditions and adjusts as necessary within SOC.
  • Performs line start up and line shut down.
  • Understands and safely operate equipment.
  • Follows all training documents or standard operating procedures (SOP) to operate the line safely and efficiently.
  • Uses production reporting systems to fulfill job functions.
  • Safely operates lab equipment.
  • Understands all quality lab equipment and is able to operate and adjust as necessary to safely test film samples.
