Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking an Extrusion Operator to maintain product quality through precise control of extruder speeds, temperatures, and winder settings. You will work on a 7 AM to 7 PM, 2/2/3 rotating schedule, training on first shift.

Responsibilities include setup, operation of various manufacturing equipment, materials inspection, and maintaining production records in SAP and Excel. Prior machining and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Experience with Windows applications (1–2 years).

Responsibilities

• Manufacture quality products at or below budgeted production costs.
• Set up equipment feeds, speeds, and temperatures.
• Operate CNC or other manufacturing equipment to form parts.
• Select and measure raw materials to specifications.
• Resolve production, machinery, processing and packaging issues.
• Create and distribute production job packets for presses.
• Review production orders for accuracy and balance hours.
• Proficient in SAP to track performance and yields.
• Proficient in Excel to create production metric charts.
• Track safety engagements and update safety charts monthly.

Schedule: 7 AM to 7 PM; 2/2/3 rotating schedule
Pay Rate: $23.00
Shift Differential: $1.00

Will be training on 1st shift once hired (7 AM to 3 PM on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule).

Position Summary:
Extrusion Operators are responsible for maintaining the quality of material being produced by continual adjustments of gauges that control extruder speed, temperatures, pressures, and winder speeds.

Responsibilities:

• Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet marketplace demand
• Sets up equipment operation feed, speed, and temperature
• Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form, or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials
• Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
• Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
• Responsibilities are within Manufacturing/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines
• Create and distribute all production job packets for all presses.
• Review all production orders for completion and accuracy, and ensure all orders are balanced with respect to production hours.
• Proficient in SAP using several functions to track performance rates and yields.
• Proficient in Excel to create trend charts for Production metrics
• Track Safety engagements and update Safety charts monthly

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Ability to multitask
• Computer Knowledge; 1-2 years of Windows applications.
• Previous experience with SAP is preferred
