Job summary

Boyd in Elkhart, Indiana is seeking extrusion operators for full-time, on-site roles. No prior extrusion experience required; on-the-job training will be provided. You will operate extrusion equipment, inspect materials, and ensure quality and safety during long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior extrusion experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.
• Ability to read a work order, use a tape measure, and preferred caliper/micrometer experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality parts; inspecting and approving profiles to ensure they meet all manufacturing requirements.
• Inspect the quality of materials and alert the Production Supervisor or appropriate personnel of material issues and/or failures immediately.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
• Inspect the quality of the machinery and report equipment failures to the Maintenance Department.
• Ensure that all required shift paperwork is accurate and complete.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal person will be a team player with a drive to succeed and a willingness to help others.
