Job summary

Catapult is seeking an experienced Extrusion Mechanic on the first shift in New London, NC to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of extrusion production equipment. The role emphasizes preventing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient operation of manufacturing lines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial maintenance with direct extrusion experience, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and ability to read schematics. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Direct extrusion maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair extrusion lines and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Repair motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, drives, and industrial equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
