Job description

Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an (onsite) Extrusion Machine Operator for our Pennsylvania recycling operation. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. The pay rate is $19.00/hr plus a $1.00 shift differential, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, motivated, safety-oriented, and capable of operating various types of extrusion machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn to operate different types of plastic extrusion machines.
  • Set up and monitor extrusion machines to meet quotas and quality standards.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of quality control processes.
  • Work efficiently and multi-task effectively.
  • Use basic and power hand tools safely.
  • Stack materials safely and efficiently.
  • Develop understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and tools.
  • Complete on-the-job training successfully.
  • Operate a forklift safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate large precision machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and process improvement mindset.
  • Effective communication of problems and solutions.
  • Sense of urgency, initiative, and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage stress.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Effective team collaboration.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new processes.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Availability to work overtime.
  • This role is considered safety sensitive.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in environments requiring hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
  • Experience working in large facilities with seasonal temperature variations.
  • Ability to communicate via radio with team members.
  • Experience working in a large team environment.
