Job Summary

Under the direction of the Extrusion Production Manager, oversee the day-to-day operation of production across all shifts, including work assignments, training of production personnel, and coordination with the extrusion and punch departments. Maintain HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation.

Essential Functions

1. Attend necessary meetings for the Extrusion Department in the absence of the Extrusion Manager and communicate results to management.
2. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures on all shifts.
3. Assign work to stations, including work orders, materials, and production sheets.
4. Adhere to production quality standards.
5. Report equipment problems to management.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
7. Understand and follow inventory control procedures, including receiving materials, transfers, and cycle counts.
8. Perform basic maintenance on extrusion equipment.

Other Functions

1. Attend and complete forklift training.
2. Perform grinding duties as needed.
3. Perform duties of Extrusion Operators or Technicians as required.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Success in this role will require

1. Understanding of extrusion processing and manufacturing principles, with ability to document non-conformances.
2. Sound judgment regarding work assignments.
3. Ability to train, communicate, and mentor extrusion operators and technicians.
4. Ability to read and interpret shop orders.
5. Understanding of inventory management and cycle counting.
6. Wearing PPE, including safety shoes, at all times during scheduled hours. Department-specific PPE requirements will be communicated by managers.
7. Forklift certification at HellermannTyton.

What You'll Bring

7. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for up to 12 hours.
