Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Lexington, NC is seeking an Extrusion Operator to support the fabrication and production of window components. This entry-level position involves loading materials, foam filling, and assembling parts in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.

You will operate hand and power tools and may be cross-trained across departments. Applicants should be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long shifts on concrete floors, and must follow all safety

Qualifications

• Lifting up to 50 lbs as required; able to stand and walk on concrete for long shifts.
• Able to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components.
• Cross-trained in multiple functions across department lines.
• Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble building material components to support final window assemblies.
• Load material onto a table, foam fill, then restack to rack and back fill with foam.
• Insert foam gun tip into profile and mix resin and ISO for foam reaction.
• Follow all safety procedures to protect self and coworkers.

Job description

Pay rate: $16/hr

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• The Production Operator position is an entry-level team member responsible for assembling building material components
• This dedicated team member performs one or more repetitive job for loading material to a table to foam fill and load back to rack to back fill with foam.
• Processes include insertion a foam gun tip into profile and shooting to chemicals one resin and one ISO to combine for foam reaction
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers

Qualifications

• Lifting requirements: 20 lbs. frequently; 40 lbs. occasionally for light production; and 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production.
• Have the ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble.
• Have the ability to be cross-trained in multiple functions within and between multiple department lines.
• Employees are required to stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a twelve-hour shift.
