Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Associate for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm) at our Marion, OH site. You will fabricate components for window assemblies in a fast-paced environment, using various tools, and you may assist with material handling and loading tasks. Training will be provided on the job.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods on a concrete floor. Prior manufacturing or tape-measure experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.
• Employees are required to stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a ten‑hour shift.

• Read a tape measure and inspect for defects; read measurements as needed.
• Make fraction and decimal conversions.
• Operate equipment needed to perform a job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees.

JOB DETAILS

Pay starting at $17 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm

Duties and Responsibilites

The Extrusion Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during the interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees
