Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, Virginia is looking for Extrusion Operators to ensure the consistency and quality of extruded products. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure, have basic math skills, and be willing to work 12-hour shifts. No prior experience is necessarily required, although machine operation experience is preferred.

Job Description

Base Pay: $16 per hour plus $2.50 per hour shift differential for night shift. Work Schedule: 2-2-3

Responsibilities

Extrusion Operators visually inspect extruded product for consistent appearance and length according to defined standards.

• Ensure product consistency and standards, including proper counts, packing patterns, and labels.
• Maintain required paperwork.
• Perform online quality inspections.
• Operate packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch.
• Related machine operation experience.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for 12-hour shifts; able to bend and lift.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read English and inspect quality test product.
• Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work independently and within a team to meet goals and quality standards.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Understand and follow safety policies.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• No experience required; manufacturing and extrusion experience highly preferred.
