Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation: configure extrusion machines according to production requirements, calibrate settings, load raw materials, and monitor the process to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: perform routine checks, clean equipment, carry out minor repairs, and collaborate with maintenance teams on complex issues.
• Quality Control: inspect products to verify quality standards, make necessary adjustments, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Safety and Compliance: adhere to safety protocols and protect self and colleagues from hazards.

Qualifications

A successful extrusion operator requires a blend of technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. Some employers may hire high school graduates with on‑the‑job training; many prefer a technical diploma in industrial technology or mechanical engineering.
