Quanex Building Products Corp. is seeking an Extruder Operator Trainee to join the Lamination team at Winnebago, Illinois. The role runs laminating machinery to produce window and door parts in accordance with customer specs and minimal waste.

The 1st shift (6:45 am–3:15 pm) offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for overtime and growth through on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good reading ability and basic math skills, including reading blueprints and other manufacturing documentation.
• Basic computer proficiency to log into systems and enter data accurately.

Responsibilities

Description

Quanex is looking for an Extruder Operator Trainee to join our Lamination team located inWinnebago, Illinois.

The Extruder Operator Trainee works as part of a small team, to run and maintain assigned lamination machines to produce quality window and door parts, wrapping prof iles, in accordance with customer specifications with minimal waste.

This department typically works 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, Monday - Friday. The team frequently works OT during the week and on Saturdays.

What Success Looks Like:

• Attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.

Your Credentials:

• High school degree, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment, is preferred.
• Good reading ability and basic math skills, including the ability to read blueprints and other manufacturing documentation.
• Good problem resolution skills with the ability to offer solutions for basic issues encountered.
• Basic computer proficiency with the ability to log into systems and enter data accurately

Starting Salary: $17.50/hour
