Quanex Building Products Corp. in Kent, Washington is hiring an Extruder Operator to join our Production team.

You will run and maintain extruder machines to meet customer specs with minimal waste, on a rotating 7:00 pm–7:00 am schedule that may include Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and overtime. Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of equipment and complete changeovers on schedule.

• Attend work on time and for scheduled hours.
• Maintain good housekeeping per 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by supporting co-workers.
• Follow established procedures and safety policies.

Job description

Quanex is looking for Extruder Operators to join our Production team located in Kent, Washington.

An Extruder Operator is responsible for working as part of a team, as well as independently to run and maintain assigned extruder machines to produce quality window and door parts, to customer specifications, with minimal waste.

What Success Looks Like:

What You Bring:

• One or more years of experience, manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Shift flexibility, including overtime and weekendsAbility to read and understand packaging layouts
• Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment as required

Expected Starting Salary: $22.00/hour
