United Felts, a Vortex Company, is seeking an Extruder Operator in Martinsville, VA to read customer requirements and control quality. You will program an electric eye system, load pellets into the hopper, and assist with machine setups while maintaining safety and a clean work environment.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma and completing 3 months of on-the-job training. Full-time, with potential shift variations, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Competenze

• Reads construction sheet and customer requirement sheet to meet requirements.
• Able to program electric eye system.
• Retrieves and loads pellets in extruder hopper.
• Assists co-workers in machine setups and material handling.
• Reports quality problems to supervisor immediately.
• Labels problem areas in liner and performs maintenance as needed.

• Responsible for programming electric eye system.
• Responsible for retrieving and loading pellets in extruder hopper.
• Assist co-workers in machine setups.
• Assisting co-workers in tying down material and wrapping material.
• Participate in reporting any quality problems to supervisor immediately.
• Label any problem areas in the liner.
• Perform maintenance duties as needed.
• Continually review supplies and report shortages to supervisor.
• Ensure drive roller is down prior to a run.
• Work safely by following safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
• Will at times be asked to perform other duties.
