The AZEK Company in Mooresville, NC is seeking a production operator for the night shift to operate equipment, manage multiple lines, and maintain logs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment in compliance with SWIs and all plant safety protocols.
  • Actively participate in Zero Harm and HMOS.
  • Adhere to PPE requirements (eye protection, hearing protection, boots, gloves).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Operate forklifts to support material supply for the production line.
  • Follow guidelines related to dress code (no loose clothing, jewelry, or shorts).
  • Perform in-process inspections and collaborate with Quality Control to contain non-conforming products.
  • Make adjustments to ensure products meet specification requirements.
  • Accurately enter production and quality metrics.
  • Retrieve and stage materials for line setup.
  • Set up dies and calibrators; disassemble/assemble tooling.
  • Operate a minimum of two production lines; load, assemble, package, and quality check.
  • Change haul-off pads; monitor melt, adjust temperatures.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues; execute changeovers and start/shutdown procedures.
  • Maintain production logs and daily reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with operators across shifts.
  • Meet KPIs and OEE goals.
  • Provide backup support to Production Assistants.

Shift- Mon-Thurs- 7pm-7am

Pay- $21-23+ 6% nightshift differential

Primary Responsibilities
Safety

  • Follow guidelines related to dress code (e.g., no loose clothing, jewelry, or shorts).
Quality
  • Perform in-process part inspections and collaborate with Quality Control to contain non-conforming products.
  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet specification requirements.
  • Accurately and promptly enter production and quality metrics.
Production
  • Retrieve and stage materials for line setup.
  • Set up multiple dies and calibrators as required
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble extrusion tooling and calibrators.
  • Operate a minimum of two production lines, including loading, assembly, packaging, and quality checks.
  • Change haul-off pads and monitor melt appearance in vents, adjusting temperatures as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical issues on production lines.
  • Execute equipment changeovers and line start-up/shutdown procedures per training and process card.
  • Maintain accurate production logs and daily reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with operators across shifts.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support maintenance personnel during repair activities when needed.
  • Provide backup support to Production Assistants.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to new hires.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces.
  • Ability to become certified in forklift operation.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
  • Regular use of hands for handling tools and machinery.
  • Requires use of specific vision abilities, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment includes noise, dust, and the use of industrial equipment.
  • Requires adherence to HMOS, 5S standards for workplace organization, and Standard Work.
