Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.
• Must be able to read and comprehend production orders and equipment instrumentation.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs; basic math skills.
• Must follow safety rules and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor and peers.
• Put scrap into the designated scrap bins.
• Set up extrusion line and related equipment with correct tip, die, and wire size.
• Maintain correct wire size, insulation thickness and concentricity.
• Ensure correct print quality on the cable.
• Observe safety rules and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Use proper compounds and correct amounts of color concentrate.
• Minimize wire and compound loss during start-up and changeovers.
• Keep daily WIP tag inventory.
