Illinois State University is looking for an Extra Help Building Service Worker to clean and sanitize designated spaces in accordance with established standards.
The role supports the Janitorial Department with a maximum of 28 hours per week, including overnight and weekend shifts. A high school diploma is required and a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing or disinfecting all designated interior and exterior spaces according to set standards and procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Hours not to exceed 28 per week. Shift availability includes overnights, weekends, and early morning hours.

Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for Illinois State University in the United States. Illinois State University will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Illinois State University is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Illinois State University.
Extra Help employees may only work up to a total of 900 hours. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment.
