Job summary

Greif is seeking an External Reporting Intern to support the finance and accounting teams in creating and validating external reports. The role involves collaborating with internal audit, documenting controls, and performing data analysis to improve data quality and efficiency.

The intern will assist with project work, participate in cross-functional activities, and gain experience in financial reporting and internal controls while pursuing a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Takes initiative and is intellectually curious.
• An effective communicator, both written and oral.
• Some knowledge of the function related to the position.
• Interest in financial reporting, auditing, or internal controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support recurring external reporting activities, analyses, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Assist with internal control activities, including control documentation, evidence organization, and process walkthroughs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, and other business partners.
• Perform data gathering, validation, trend analysis, and research.
• Support process-improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Participate in department meetings, networking events, and cross-functional activities.
• Complete assigned projects and deliver accurate, timely, and well-organized work.
