Job summary

The Commission to Combat Police Corruption (CCPC) seeks a Community Coordinator to support external relations and daily office operations in New York City. Under the Executive Director, you will build relationships with elected officials, advocates, and community groups, coordinate intergovernmental activities, prepare public announcements, and assist in research and reporting related to police oversight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in community work or related field.
  • At least two years of experience in community work or related activities.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience with at least one year in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, advocates, and community-based organizations on behalf of CCPC.
  • Coordinate intergovernmental/public affairs with other agencies and organizations.
  • Prepare public announcements and press releases; serve as a contact for information and press.
  • Monitor news and media coverage related to CCPC.
  • Maintain the agency website and produce content.
  • Assist in reports and original research related to police oversight.
  • Recordkeeping and reimbursement forms; coordinate office logistics.
  • Onboard staff and assist with benefits administration; answer phones and emails.
