Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes unit is seeking a Manager, Planning – External Operations to base at multiple U.S. sites.

You will lead external supply chain planning for a product portfolio and ensure service levels, inventory targets, and agility across the network. Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or Operations is preferred.
• Either 8 years of related experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Business Analytics, and/or Supply Chain Management is required or 6 years of related experience with a Master’s degree.
• An advanced (MBA) degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead External Operations planning activities for a portfolio of products to meet service level, global inventory and agility objectives.
• Drive service, inventory and agility performance across external supply chains and manage planning from external partner manufacturing facilities to J&J distribution.
• Use data to drive continuous improvement of supply chain processes.
• Develop and execute a capacity and supply planning strategy to improve overall performance and establish KPIs.
• Oversee control tower management, STEM, allocation of resources, and coordination across receiving inspection and distribution centers.
• Act as a liaison between external manufacturing integrations teams and Global Plan/Value Stream Leads to escalate issues.
• Evaluate planning system parameters and settings affecting net requirements and inventory targets.
• Coordinate receipt of worldwide demand plans from franchise planning organizations and produce a best-fit production plan.
• Bring contemporary best practices in supply chain/planning management and coach others.
