Job summary

AnnieMac Home Mortgage is seeking a Full Time External Mortgage Loan Originator in Lakeland, FL. The role focuses on generating new business by cultivating referral relationships with realtors, title officers, financial advisers, and other professionals.

You will pre-qualify borrowers, explain loan options, and guide clients through the financing process from application to closing, with significant travel to attend closings and open houses. Strong communication and sales skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state).
• Strong knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of mortgage insurers.
• Familiar with local, state and federal laws (RESPA, TILA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Generate new business by building relationships with realtors, title/escrow officers, CPAs and other professionals.
• Pre-qualify borrowers and determine the maximum mortgage they can afford.
• Counsel borrowers on loan products, disclosures, closing costs and monthly payments.
• Coordinate documentation and stay in touch with borrowers, Realtors and lenders from application to closing.
