Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel seeks a Business Analyst to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive decisions across the enterprise.

You’ll collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency. You will develop reports, models, and visualizations for leadership, support a workforce management system, and contribute to budgeting and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in analytical reporting including development, data mining, and data analysis with some financial analysis exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, finance, or related field; equivalent work experience accepted.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting) is required.

Responsibilities

• Supports and maintains reporting requirements for internal customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develops, executes, and maintains routine reporting and analysis to measure financial performance against sales and margin objectives.
• Creates insights from data and visualizations for management to inform decisions.
• Supports workforce management system used company-wide for staffing, forecasting, and reporting.
• Accountable for financial modeling for reporting of industry and regional competitive intelligence, strategic planning, cash management and treasury projects.
• Analyzes processes and recommends improvements to maximize performance via technology.
• Assists with annual operating budgets planning in collaboration with department management.

Through thoughtful reporting, strategic modeling, and a deep understanding of business processes, you help drive operational efficiency and empower teams with valuable analytics that guide long‑term planning and organizational success.

Responsibilities

Where You’ll Make an Impact:

• Supports, develops, and maintains effective communication and excellent relationships with internal customers ensuring their reporting requirements are identified and consistently met.
• Develop, execute, and maintain routine reporting and analysis to measure financial performance against company sales and margin objectives.
• Create advanced insights from data and build into easily interpreted visualizations for management.
• Develop and support of a workforce management system used company-wide for tracking staffing levels, accurate forecasting, and reporting of results to management.
• Accountable for financial modeling for reporting of industry and regional competitive intelligence, strategic planning, cash management and treasury related projects.
• Analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements to maximize performance and efficiencies via the use of technology.
• Assist with planning and preparation for annual operating budgets including working closely with operating department management.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience with the following is preferred but not required: Virtual Roster, Kronos, Tableau, Teradata, IGT Table Touch, Bravo Poker
• General knowledge of SQL and/or Access would be a plus.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement programs is preferred but not required.
• Basic accounting experience or education is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in analytical reporting including development, data mining, and data analysis, experience with financial analysis is
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in a relevant field may be substituted.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and other advanced calculations/functions is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extensive periods of time and move up and down steps daily
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and assist guests in the loading and unloading process
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds
• Use of stairs and elevators

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
