Job summary

The External Engagement Associate at USP supports external engagement, communications, and stakeholder outreach across the Global Health and Manufacturing Services portfolio. This role coordinates events, communications products, social media, and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely, high-quality external activities.

Under supervision of the Director, External Engagement, the role contributes to amplifying USP’s thought leadership, strengthening partner engagement, and advancing priority

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, international affairs, public policy, marketing, or related field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, or related areas.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to synthesize and translate complex information into clear, audience-appropriate content.

Responsibilities

• External Engagement & Stakeholder Management: Maintain trackers and calendars; research opportunities; prepare briefing materials for meetings.
• Events & Convenings: Coordinate conferences, webinars, and other events; develop invitations, agendas, and run-of-show materials; post-event summaries.
• Communications & Content Development: Draft emails, newsletters, fact sheets, web content; support collateral development; ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Social Media & Digital Engagement: Draft social content; maintain editorial calendars; track performance metrics; monitor trends.
• Operational & Team Support: Manage vendor selection; update templates and trackers; maintain SharePoint and Teams sites.
