Garney Construction is seeking an External Communications Manager to lead Garney’s external communications strategy, manage initiatives to enhance brand visibility, and position Garney as an industry leader. The role spans digital marketing, public relations, and executive communications to support business objectives.

You will craft messaging for diverse audiences, oversee multi-channel campaigns, and mentor the external communications team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related discipline.
• Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans that support business objectives.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and messaging development skills for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of public relations, digital marketing, advertising, content strategy, and communications best practices.
• Experience leading integrated communications programs and measuring performance through analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute external communications strategies aligned with Garney’s priorities and growth.
• Lead digital marketing across the company website, social media, email marketing, and external channels.
• Oversee advertising campaigns from planning to measurement and optimisation.
• Direct external content creation, including project stories, thought leadership, and marketing materials.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify stories that showcase Garney’s people, projects, and expertise.
• Support executive communications, reputation management, and crisis communications.
