Job summary

SPS Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Head of External Communications to lead Public Relations and Analyst Relations, and to mentor the Sr. Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Manager.

You will shape SPS’s external narrative and protect the company’s reputation across media, analysts, and the broader retail supply chain community. You’ll partner with Marketing, Investor Relations, Internal Communications, Product, Legal, and executives to ensure coordinated messaging, manage media/analyst

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in public relations, analyst relations, or corporate communications within B2B technology/SaaS/supply chain
• Established media relationships with earned media in trade, business, or technology press
• Experience managing external PR and AR agencies and budgets
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear narratives for media/analyst audiences

Responsibilities

• Own and execute day-to-day public relations program (media strategy, proactive pitching, reactive media response, executive visibility)
• Co-manage relationships with Gartner, Forrester, and IDC; coordinate briefings and inputs into research reports
• Serve as primary contact for reporters; manage inquiries, interviews, and press material reviews
• Coordinate with Marketing, IR, Internal Communications, Product, Legal, and executives to ensure consistent external narrative
• Manage external PR agency and vendors; monitor budgets and ensure brand-aligned outputs
• Track PR/AR performance metrics and provide data-driven insights for strategy
• Lead and develop Sr. Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Manager
• Support development of holding statements, FAQs, and response plans with Legal and leadership
