Job summary

Applied Systems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade network infrastructure across GCP, on-premises, and hybrid cloud environments. You will manage cloud networking, VPNs, routing, and security, while supporting F5 BIG-IP load balancers and automation via Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible.

In this role, you will design, deploy, and operate enterprise-gradenetwork infrastructure spanning multiple global data centers and cloud environments,supporting the Applied Systems platforms that serve thousands of insurance agencies acrossNorth America and the UK.You will be a key contributor to our cloud and datacenter networking initiatives — responsiblefor hybrid cloud connectivity, infrastructure-as-code networking using Terraform and GitLabCI/CD, and network automation using Ansible. You will also support the day-to-dayadministration of our F5 BIG-IP load balancing platform, site-to-site VPN estate, and networkmonitoring stack. This role participates in an on-call rotation and is expected to respond tocritical network incidents outside of normal business hours.The ideal candidate brings deep data center networking expertise combined with a growingcloud networking skill set, strong automation instincts, and a commitment to documentationand operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across GCP, on-premises, andhybrid cloud environments
• Manage cloud networking technologies including VPCs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, load balancing, DNS,and IP address management
• Administer and troubleshoot BGP routing, site-to-site VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Support and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancing platforms and related application delivery services
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and network automation solutions using Terraform,GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using enterprise observability andmonitoring tools
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure networksolutions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for critical network incidents and outage.

We’re looking for someone who:Your experience should include some or all of the following:

• Experience with Azure and/or AWS networking
• Experience with Cloudflare and modern observability platforms
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, F5, or TerraformAssociate
• Experience implementing network automation and NetDevOps practices
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalentexperience
• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience supporting complex, multi-site environments
• Experience with GCP networking, including VPCs, Cloud Router, HA VPN, firewalls, and hybridconnectivity
• Strong knowledge of routing and networking protocols, including BGP and IPSec VPN
• Experience administering F5 BIG-IP LTM in a production environment
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, Git-based workflows, and CI/CDpipelines
• Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation tools
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Location

Candidate will need to reside in North America, working arrangement will be remote.

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position ranges from $90,000 - $140,000. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
