Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design automotive Exterior trim components and lead the development of exterior trim systems for cars and SUVs.

You will develop and release exterior components and sub-systems, collaborate with suppliers, and support vehicle milestones from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior / bumper components and subsystems
• Knowledge of Plastic manufacturing technologies
• Perform feasibility and packaging studies

Responsibilities

• Design of automotive Exterior trim component in a DRE role
• Develop and execute Exterior Trim system requirements for Automotive (Cars and SUVs)
• Complete and release exterior components, sub-system and detail designs (Bumper, Facia, Cladding, Garnish, Spoiler etc)
• Collaborate with key Exterior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
