Job summary

EPITEC is seeking an Exterior Structural CAE Engineer in Dearborn, MI, on a hybrid schedule. You will lead FE analyses for exterior vehicle structures, build and audit FE models, and validate predictions against tests to drive robust designs.

You'll collaborate with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and vehicle engineering teams, applying FEM/CAEL tools to improve durability, cost, and performance throughout development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience performing structural CAE/FEA analyses.
• Coursework or experience with FEM.
• Fluent English; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute structural CAE simulations for exterior vehicle systems.
• Create, modify, audit, and maintain finite element models.
• Perform linear and nonlinear structural analyses, including durability and fatigue.
• Interpret results and recommend design improvements.
• Correlate CAE models with physical test results.
• Support design reviews with engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Vehicle Engineering teams.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams.
