Job summary

Kia is seeking a qualified engineer to review dealer claims and exterior parts data, identify quality issues, and coordinate countermeasures. The role involves testing parts against specifications, root-cause investigations, and cross-functional collaboration to drive KPI improvements.

The candidate will audit processes, maintain detailed records, and generate reports on trends and risks, with domestic and international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2–5 years in manufacturing (automotive preferred).
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience analyzing warranty, dealer claim, PDI, or customer quality data.
• Knowledge of root-cause analysis tools (5 Why, fishbone).
• Strong data-analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review dealer claims and PDI data to analyze exterior part performance and KPI improvement.
• Evaluate returned exterior parts against specs to identify failure modes and root causes; coordinate countermeasures.
• Audit assembly processes to identify root causes; communicate findings and develop countermeasures with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Maintain records of dealer claim concerns, investigations, and countermeasures; update status and resolutions.
