Job summary

Little City Foundation seeks a Grounds Keeper/Exterior Maintenance to participate in preventive maintenance and keep outdoor and related areas safe and clean. You will start at 6:30 am, finish by 3:00 pm, with winter hour variations, and work as part of a team to support all Little City properties.

Responsibilities include daily area maintenance, safety reporting, vehicle and equipment cleaning, seasonal changes, and assisting with set-ups and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.
• Must be able to operate listed equipment: lawn equipment, snow blowers and snow plows.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work areas assigned.
• Start shift at 6:30 am and finish at 3:00 pm; winter hours may vary.
• Complete training and orientation and keep HR informed of status changes.
• Report safety issues to Exterior Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist in other Facility Maintenance tasks as directed by Leadership.
• Perform exterior painting as needed.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles and equipment.
• Daily trash pickup at Little City properties.
• Seasonal equipment and maintenance changes.
