Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a Factory Service Center Aircraft Exterior Finisher to perform scheduled and unscheduled exterior finishing duties from an assigned center, following manuals, SOPs, and regulations. Travel may be required and contact with Owners/Operators is expected.

Responsibilities include adhering to SOPs, safety policies, maintaining professionalism, reading manuals, composite prep, sanding, buffing, vinyl stripe, primer, detailing, and supporting shop projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education or equivalent required.
• Complete 100% Cirrus CBT Training.
• Complete 100% Cirrus University training.
• Complete 90% of incoming, Detail and buffing related core signoffs.

• Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain the highest levels of professionalism in conduct and appearance while representing Cirrus Aircraft.
• Observe & maintain all requirements & criteria set forth by Cirrus Part 145 Repair Station Manual.
• Read and understand maintenance manuals and other technical documents and identify repair procedure.
• Review and research aircraft records; Evaluate & interpret aircraft data; perform composite preparation; sanding and buffing; adding vinyl striping; primer application; detailing interior/exterior; ensure regular attendance.

Overview

As a Factory Service Center Aircraft Exterior Finisher, you will work from an assigned Factory Service Center performing aircraft scheduled and unscheduled Exterior Finishing duties as assigned. All work will be performed and documented in compliance with reference to the appropriate technical data including manuals, standard operating procedures and regulations as required. Working conditions include occasional travel and semi - frequent face to face contact with Owners and Operators.

• Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures
• Maintain the highest levels of professionalism in conduct and appearance while representing Cirrus Aircraft.
• Observe & maintain all requirements & criteria set forth by the Cirrus Part 145 Repair Station Manual.
• Read and understand maintenance manuals and other technical documents and identify repair procedure

  • Surface filler preparation and shaping
  • Sanding and buffing
  • Adding vinyl striping
  • Laying and smoothing sealants

  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
• Assist, support and participate in Factory Service Center indirect activities such as moving aircraft, shop projects, and continuous improvement projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Minimum High School education or equivalent required
• Complete 100% Cirrus CBT Training
• Complete 100% Cirrus University training
• Complete 90% of incoming, Detail and buffing related core signoffs

Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated prep/painting aptitude
• < 1yrs sanding and prepping parts for paint experience and/or
• <1 yrs detailing experience
• < 1 yrs Cirrus model experience

Certification Requirements:

• N/A

License Requirements:

• Valid State Driver's License
• Ability to obtain an Airport Security Badge
