Job summary

Cirrus is seeking a Factory Service Center Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Cirrus aircraft. You will work from an assigned Factory Service Center with travel as needed, following OEM manuals and FAA regulations, and maintaining professional standards.

You will read technical documents, diagnose systems, use proper tooling, install software, and verify work for compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Complete 100% Cirrus CBT Training.
  • Complete 100% Cirrus University training.
  • 25% proficient on core task lists SR & SF.
  • Complete 55% Cirrus & supplier Training.
  • 0-4 years' proven aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Must have CFR part 65 Certification – Repairmen or A&P.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
  • Valid State Drivers License.
  • Ability to obtain an Airport Security Badge.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Cirrus Aircraft Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance.
  • Observe & maintain Cirrus Part 145 Repair Station Manual requirements.
  • Read and understand maintenance manuals and identify repair procedures.
  • Perform mission critical repairs, troubleshooting & return to service on AOG aircraft in the field IAW FAA regulations & all applicable data.
  • Review and research aircraft records; Diagnose mechanical / electrical systems; Utilize diagnostic / test equipment; Inspect and replace parts; Assemble components; Install/load system software; Inspect completed work for compliance.
  • Assist, support and participate in Factory Service Center activities and continuous improvement projects.

Job description

Overview

As a Factory Service Center Aircraft Maintenance Technician you will work from an assigned Factory Service Center performing aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and repairs along with a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties as assigned. All work will be performed and documented in compliance with / reference to the appropriate technical data including manuals, standard operating procedures and regulations as required. Working conditions include occasional travel and semi - frequent face to face contact with Owners and Operators.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Cirrus Aircraft Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the highest levels of professionalism in conduct and appearance while representing Cirrus Aircraft.
  • Observe & maintain all requirements & criteria set forth by the Cirrus Part 145 Repair Station Manual.
  • Read and understand maintenance manuals and other technical documents and identify repair procedure.
  • Perform mission critical repairs, troubleshooting & return to service work on AOG aircraft in the field IAW FAA regulations & all applicable technical data
    • Review and research aircraft records
    • Evaluate & interpret aircraft data
    • Diagnose mechanical / electrical systems
    • Utilize proper diagnostic / test equipment
    • Inspect replacement aircraft parts for defects
    • Replace defective parts using approved tooling
    • Assemble aircraft components & perform required measurement and testing / adjustments
    • Install / load system software and databases
    • Inspect complete work for compliance and performance standards
  • Assist, support and participate in Factory Service Center indirect activities such as moving aircraft, shop projects, and continuous improvement projects as assigned.
DOT/Safety-Sensitive Position Requirement

This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing as required by regulation. Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of all applicable DOT requirements.

Pay Range

Salary Range: USD $30.26/Hr. - USD $45.39/Hr.
