Job summary

Walmart seeks a capable Facility Services Manager to lead the Exterior Services department in Bastrop, TX. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control while directing third‑party providers and coaching staff to deliver high‑quality maintenance services.

You will oversee budgeting, capital projects, and seasonal operations, including landscaping, snow events, and equipment upkeep, contributing to a safe, efficient shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• DOT physical and medical certification pre-hire.
• Two years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
• Ability to read and speak English; Spanish preferred.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Preferred: Experience in third-party management.
• Preferred: State/local licensing where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Facility Services and Exterior Services department.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, safety policies, and environmental guidelines.
• Coach staff, conduct performance evaluations, and direct quality assurance inspections.
• Manage budgets, cost estimates, and purchases of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate equipment standardization and sustainable facility upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and provide customer service to facility users; resolve problems.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance and maintain vehicles and machinery.
• Develop capital expenditure lists and scopes of work for landscaping and related services.
